Our Beliefs

The Non-Negotionables of Our Faith

  • We believe the Bible is the inspired and only infallible and authoritative written Word of God.  (John 17:17; II Tim. 3:16; II Pet. 1:19-21)
  • We believe there is one God, eternally existent in three persons:  God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.  (Matt. 3:16-17; John 15:26; Gal. 4:4-6; Col. 2:9)
  • We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His vicarious and atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His Ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His bodily future return to this earth in power and glory.  (Isa. 7:14; Luke 1:26-27; Heb. 9:26, 28; Acts 1:3, 9-11)
  • We believe the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ.  (Eph. 2:8-9; Heb. 9:12; I Pet. 1:18-19)
  • We believe regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation.  (John 3:3-7; Tit. 3:5; I Pet. 1:23)
  • We believe in water baptism through immersion for every believer as an outward sign and public confession of one’s inward faith and also as a point of identification with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ that helps one to put off the old man and walk in newness of life. (Matt. 28:19; Mk. 16:16; Acts 8:38; Rom. 6:4)
  • We believe the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human body in answer to believing prayer.  (Isa. 53:45; Matt. 8:17; I Pet. 2:24)
  • We believe the baptism of the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, 10:44-46, and 19:2-6, is available to believers who ask for it.
  • We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by Whose indwelling, the Christian is enabled to live a holy life.  (II Thess. 2:13; Heb. 10:14; I Pet. 1:2)
  • We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation.  (Rom. 6:23; II Thess. 1:8-9; Heb. 9:27; Rev. 20: 4-5, 11-15)
