Li’l Splashes
The Li’l Splashes Nursery has a dedicated staff who encourage the growth and development of your little one in a fun, caring and peaceful environment. It is available every adult worship service.
Because each developmental stage is unique, four different classes are available. These include the Infants, the Walkers, the Preschool 2 years olds, and the Preschool 3 year olds. In each class, the children are encouraged to worship with instruments and singing with music just for them! A teaching lesson is used each week which utilizes puppets, crafts and story time.
The Li’l Nursery staff desires to see the child grow in Christlikeness even at their early age. As this is instilled in them, along with your parenting, we can help to change their world!
Splash Kids
Splash Kids (ages 4 - 12) have their very own church service in the 180 building on Sundays at 10am. The children’s ministers along with volunteers coordinate praise, worship, registration, preaching and games during this dynamic time. A check in system guarantees security for the kids. Check in time is from 9:45 – 10:00am.
On Sundays at 9:00am, Life Training is provided for this age group with a class for 4- and 5-year-old kids and separate classes for boys and girls, grades 2 - 6.
During Family Night on Wednesdays at 7:00pm, the kids meet in the children’s building for a time of learning and fun.
RISE: Youth
We have two weekly programs for 7th-12th graders at the River church. God has big plans for the youth of Decatur and Wise County! We are part of a Revolution and you cannot miss out!
Sunday nights, 5:00-8:00pm
On Sunday nights, the service starts at 6:00pm but the Rise building opens at 5:00 for us to hang out and play pool, Wii, listen to music, and eat dinner. We also have a variety of food and coffee drinks at low prices. We want to hang out and get to know you and your friends.
Then at 6:00pm, with live, student-led, rock-style worship, students are encouraged to enter into the presence of God in an environment that speaks their language and glorifies God. Pastor James will teach on various topics to help you to achieve your dreams and grow in Christlikeness so that you can go and change your own world! At 7:00pm, there’s more time to hang out, play games, and listen to music.
Wednesday nights, 7:00pm
On Wednesday nights, rise:youth meet in small, discipleship groups. Pastor James is teaching the 9th-12th graders on Next Generation Leader. Topics include: Impacting Your World, Rising to the Occasion, Secrets to Success in Life. The 6th-8th graders are learning Foundational Truths. Topics include: Being Born Again, Resisting the Devil, How to Pray Effectively. Get in on this time of fellowship and growth.

LifeGroups
Life Groups are small groups that meet together in homes for Bible study, worship, prayer, food, and fellowship. The groups meet twice monthly from January until April and from September to December. Information about the groups is available in the Connection Center as well as on the Life Groups tab of the website. There is definitely something for everyone, so check out the Life Group opportunities and bring a friend!
Life Training
Classes are available every Sunday morning at 9am for all ages to help us grow in Christlikeness. The classes for ages 0 - 18 meet every Sunday all year. The adult classes include: (1) Pastor’s Class, a 4-week class which meets several times a year to allow those who are new to the River to learn what we believe and to hear Pastor’s heart on foundational truths of the Word, and (2) Read Through the Bible, which meets every Sunday except when Life University is in session, and (3) Life University classes which vary from semester to semester. Bring your whole family and watch God change your world.
Missions Outreach Board (MOB)
MOB is our way to support local and foreign missions. We love to develop relationships with foreign missionaries, supporting them in ways that are necessary to their mission. The local mission is right outside our doors. We need everyone who is willing. Come and let’s change the world together; from right outside our doors to the outermost parts of the earth!
Flood Worship
We were created to worship! Flood Worship has excellent talent, but even more than that, each member has a passion for living in the river of God’s mercy, grace and love. The heart of Flood Worship is to see you connect with God. Total Immersion! Just one moment in the power of His presence can change everything. Come and experience the glory of our King.
